BeSound uses an advanced automated 3D breast ultrasound, imaging designed for the dense breast tissue that mammograms can struggle to see through.

Breast imaging is not one-size-fits-all.
Women with dense breasts
Half of women over 40 have dense breasts,03 and density is even more common in younger women.
On a mammogram, dense tissue and tumors both appear white, making cancers harder to see. Mammography can miss up to 40% of cancers in dense breasts.04
Women under 40
The American healthcare system has left younger women out of routine breast screening almost entirely.
Routine mammography typically does not begin until age 40. It uses low-dose radiation and is less effective in younger women. Meanwhile, breast cancer incidence is rising among younger women.
